About the tour

Turkey’s two most iconic sights in one trip. Three days in Istanbul: Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar and an evening Bosphorus cruise. Then a flight to Cappadocia — towns carved into rock, the underground city of Derinkuyu and a sunrise balloon flight. You’ll stay in a boutique hotel in Istanbul’s historic centre and in a cave hotel in Göreme.

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Istanbul

    Direct flight from Bishkek, transfer to a hotel in Sultanahmet. An evening walk around Sultanahmet Square.

  2. Day 2

    Historic Istanbul

    With a guide: Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern and the Grand Bazaar.

  3. Day 3

    The Bosphorus and Galata

    A free morning; in the afternoon, Galata Tower, the Karaköy district and an evening Bosphorus cruise.

  4. Day 4

    Flight to Cappadocia

    A morning flight to Kayseri, the Göreme valleys and the open-air museum. Check-in at a cave hotel.

  5. Day 5

    Hot-air balloons

    An optional sunrise balloon flight, the underground city of Derinkuyu and the Ihlara Valley.

  6. Day 6

    A free day

    Horse riding through the valleys, the pottery workshops of Avanos or a Turkish hammam.

  7. Day 7

    Flight home

    Transfer to Kayseri airport and a flight to Bishkek via Istanbul.
